3″ Screen Size
The display on the camera is the most common thing Canon 1200D has 3″ screen size not rotary with the resolution of around 46000 pixels.
The camera takes pictures with a resolution of 18 megapixels. The crop factor is 1.6x, which is actually the standard for Canon (sensor size 22.3 x 14.9 mm).
The camera produces a completely clean picture on ISO 6400. I usually use automatic ISO in 90% of cases, only if I take pictures with flash or slow shutter speed – I turn off the auto mode and set the minimum ISO so noise will reduce.
There are 9 autofocus points available in the 1200D, more than enough for all occasions.
But for beginners, a small number of autofocus zones is the opposite, since it’s easier to figure out what you are focusing on and if necessary, you can switch faster.

I would say that camera control is just perfect for a beginner. There is generally nothing superfluous, both in the menu and among the analog buttons.
The controls are intuitive, and almost all the important functions are carried out on the analog buttons.
I recommend taking a camera with a whale lens 18-55 IS II, quite sharp and small, for starters, that’s it.
When you already understand what type of shooting you are more interested in, then you need to buy an additional lens, spend all the money at once – we do not recommend it.
The EOS 1200D model can record 1080p video at a frequency of 30 frames per second or in 720p resolution and a frequency of 50/60 frames.
The built-in microphone records pure mono sound, although sometimes the focus is slightly audible in the lens. Unfortunately, there is no connector for connecting external microphones.
The resulting videos can be saved to an SD, SDHC or SDXC memory card, and also viewed on HDTV using the mini HDMI port. To synchronize with a computer, a mini USB port is used.

Conclusions & Recommendations
Canon 1200D is a good SLR camera for beginners, budget, small and simple – this is the most important thing for beginners.
The pictures taken on the 1200D will not differ much from the pictures taken on the more expensive models, so if you do not care about the display with a not very high resolution, then you can safely take this camera for yourself.
If you need better than this so we recommend Canon 7d Mark II.
